Not a lot to blog about, so it will just be random stuff. My daughter-in-law, Candice, fell off of a horse 2 weeks ago and broke her arm. She had to have surgery and is now facing therapy for several weeks before going back to Indiana.
Jim's job is still keeping him in Missouri. And I ain't complainin'. I really like where we are, and it is a quick 2 hour flight home. Speaking of, I really need to go home and get my hair cut and colored. When I find someone to do my hair...I don't hop around to anyone else!
My sister, Marilyn, had a heart attack this past week! Wow! I've never thought about her having a heart attack. I guess that isn't something you put a lot of thought into unless you know you have heart problems. She was at work and said her lung felt cold. Well, it wasn't her lung...it was her heart! EMS arrived to take her to the hospital and they had to bring out the paddles. She said her chest is sore because of that. She was taken to St. John Hospital, but she had to be lifeflighted to Memorial Hermann in Houston. She had 2 stents put in. She is back home now. I pray that she is able to quit smoking without much trouble.
A friend of mine from many years ago committed suicide this week. How sad. He was always such a fun guy to hang around. I send prayers to his family that they may understand this.
Jim has been fishing a LOT. He has gone out in the Mississippi River with a friend checking bank poles. I'm not really sure about bank poles. Something about putting special poles on the banks and baiting them and then checking them later. He caught some big catfish this week. One of them was 22#!

My 2 friends that I run around with, Carla and Sandy were at home all this past week. We are all on the Herbalife diet and working out at the YMCA, so it was a boring week to do that by myself. I didn't go to the Y as much as I should have, but I vow that this week will be better! AND, I've lost weight AND inches! I was SO excited today to notice that my boobs are smaller! If you know me, you know they are just too large! So, I'm quite excited about that.
A few weeks ago Jim was in Houston for a week long seminar. He was able to stay at our house and visit with Hailey and Mike and play with the dogs. He misses Maddie and Ellie so much while we are gone. I miss them also, but I get home more often than he does. Anyway, it was a strange week staying in the trailer by myself. I wasn't scared, just different. I watched slumdog Millionaire while he was gone. I've been to India twice, so I was interested in it because of that. It is a really good movie. It is sad to see on the news how the actors have been mistreated since being in the movie, but I understand that things have improved. It is an amazing country to visit. Amazing on many levels.
I told ya this was going to be random stuff!
Peace out Girl Scout! (Hailey will love that).
