Holy Toledo

Well, not exactly Toledo, but close. Jim started his new job in Perrysburg last Monday. Much of it he has conquered before and there will be some new challenges as well. Me, I reorganized the cabinets in the trailer. After making a 500 mile trip to its' new destination, things got sort of jumbled. I have been trying to find my way around a new town. For some reason, it just ain't clickin'! Jim and I drove around yesterday and I got a better feel for it, tho. I am going home on Wednesday. Hailey's friend, Courtney, is getting married on Saturday night, so I am going home to go to that. I do NOT forsee drinking on my part (sorry Carolyn). But, hey, that is a week away. I bet Courtney has a stressful week. I'm sure things are in order, but I'm sure there will be last minute to-do's. Thinking about that makes me glad that Hailey plans to just "get married". No big ordeal to go with it. BUT, as she has done in the past about other things, she may change her mind and that will be ok. Oh, I joined the ranks of SKYPE users this week. Jordan and Hailey and my sister-in-law, Shelia, also are 'skypers'. My contact name is sjrellis. How original is that? Ha! It has been cool to be able to talk to the kids and see them as well. I've even been able to see Gus and Izzie. They do not pay any attention to me, tho, when I talk to them. I'm used to being ignored, tho! I'm going to go to the bosses house tomorrow and the wife is going to show me around town and then we will have lunch. Tuesday I will get ready to go home and Wednesday I fly out of DTW @ noon. I'm going to attempt to post a video. Tonight while washing dishes, Weezie, the cat, jumped up on the counter and was intrigued by the water from the faucet. She thought that she could "get it". As in hold it. When that did not work, she figured she would be able to bite it. She got soaking wet. I finally got the camera and took a video of her. Afterwards, she bathed with all of the water she had gotten on her head!

Well, the video went and went and went, so I stopped it. I'll try to post it again. The empty trailer spot is where we are now parked. It is nice and quiet and clean, but we are still trailer trash! The other photo is Jim's new office. His office is the first set of windows on the right of the door.

OMG

I skipped part of the past week. Although I would LIKE to forget it, I don't want to forget it, so that I NEVER repeat it. We went out with some friends from the job. As a person that does not drink a lot, WOW! It was rough. I drank 3 Long Island Teas followed by 3 Jager Bombs.

Not good. I was sure I would hurl when I got home, but I did not. The next day, I was slow getting around, but as the day went on, I felt worse and worse. The next day (yesterday), I STILL felt like crap. I could still taste the Jager. It was gross. I have had pretty much continued heartburn and taking Tums a. lot.! I'm pretty sure I will NEVER have another one. Oh, you are thinking "yeah, right", but it was just not a feeling I want to repeat!

New stuff

Well, we went home for 2 weeks. It was a jam-packed time! Jim went to Perrysburg for 3 days to find us a place to park the trailer. He also had doctor appointments for another 3 days. Izzie was spayed and had her dew claws removed, so she had to wear a lampshade for 10 days!

Jordan and Candice came to visit several times and brought Gus. Game on! Izzie and Gus were quite entertaining.

My Dad came to vist for a few days. He and I went to see my Mom and Marilyn. We went to eat shrimp and oysters (I did NOT eat oysters!). We had a nice visit with them.

I think Hailey and Mike were ready for us to all be gone. It is quite disrupting when your lifestyle changes for a few weeks.

Jim and I went back to Missouri to pack up and go to Ohio. It was so sad to leave! We had been there for over a year. He will now work in the office in Perrysburg. We came to Ohio yesterday.

Something so funny/strange/weird happened. Yesterday, my friend, Sandy, helped me get the inside of the trailer ready to move. After we finished, we just sat on the living room floor and talked. For about 4 months we've had a spider on the back window. We had taken his web down several times, but she kept remaking it. Well, Sandy and I noticed it was out in the daylight. Normally, it was only out at night. Anyway, we were watching it move around on its' web when we noticed that it was eating it! Do spiders normally eat their webs? I do not know, but this one was. She cleaned it all up and went back in her little hole on the window frame. We joked that she was packing up to move to Ohio, also. Well, lo and behold, tonight I looked out there and there she was! Making her web...IN OHIO! So, Jim, Molly, Weezie, me, AND the spider have taken up residence in Ohio. That just seems so funny to me. The picture I posted is the best one I could get tonight. If I catch her out during the day, I'll get another one. You may be asking me how I know it is a female spider. Because we saw her spider nest and I saw a few baby spiders. I think there is a new nest now.

We are going to a pool party tomorrow. It is only going to be 75 degrees! WTH? It is summer!
