Alaska Bound

The job Jim has been on is winding down, soooooooooooooo, we are going to ALASKA! My Dad is also going with us! We fly to Vancouver on August 13. Vancouver is one of my favorite cities I've ever been to, so I'm excited to go back. We will go to Gastown, Chinatown, see the steam clock, go to Stanley Park and whatever else we can cram into 1 1/2 days. We will be sailing on Radiance of the Seas at 5pm on the 14th. We will cruise the Inside Passage on the 15th and wake up in Ketchikan on the 16th. Our excursion is to zipline while in Ketchikan. The next day we port in Juneau. I do not have anything planned there...yet! BUT, I will be studying that. The next port is Skagway. I'm not sure what we are doing there, either. There are just SO many choices! Icy Strait Point is on the 18th. On the 19th we will not dock, instead cruising around Hubbard Glacier. Sadly, when we wake up on Friday the 21st, we will be disembarking in Seward. We are staying in Seward 1 night and then getting on a train going to Ancorage. We will just pass through there heading to Denali. As in Mt. McKinley! I hope we are able to see the top. After being in Denali for 2 days, we will go back to ANC to fly home on the night of the 24th. I have read, studied, planned, and asked questions about the trip. I hope I'm prepared. If not, we'll just have to go again! I think my Dad is pretty excited about it, also.
